Hello there, your Majesties,
Welcome to a brand new week and to the beautiful month of March! I love March so much for so many reasons, but especially because … you guessed, right? It’s my birth month. ♥️
Now I am excited for this month because our focus is ‘Growing in our walk with God: from knowing to living’. So most of our teachings this month especially on Word and Wisdom Mondays will be focused on this.
Why this theme? Because a lot of us know the scriptures, but we are yet to actualise the writings in it, we haven’t fully comprehended the life that Christ died to give us and we are not living that life. I remember a prophecy from a few years back when the Spirit of the LORD said these are the days of manifestation. We are to live out His words and his deeds right now. Remember that all creation is waiting for the manifestation of the sons of God. It’s time!
Now to today’s message – As Christians, we have the privilege of asking God for anything—big or small. We pray about our jobs, moving to a new city, and, of course, one of the biggest prayer topics: marriage. But often, the response we hear is “Wait on the Lord.”
Waiting is hard. There is no doubt about that. But what if the answer is already in front of you, and you’re missing it simply because it doesn’t look the way you expected?
What if, in the name of waiting, you’re actually putting your life on hold while God expects you to move?
Remember the scripture in Luke 19:13—”Occupy till I come.” It’s a command to be active, to engage, to move forward—not to sit in uncertainty. Yet many of us pause our lives, waiting for a loud, unmistakable voice from God, while He’s already whispering through opportunities, wise counsel, prayer, and His Word.
Is It Really Waiting, or Is It Fear?
We say we’re waiting, but are we really? Or are we afraid to take a step?
Think about Moses at the Red Sea. The Israelites were panicking, but what did God say?
“Why do you cry to me? Tell the people to go forward!” (Exodus 14:15)
Sometimes, our waiting is actually hesitation. We want absolute clarity before we move, but faith doesn’t always work that way. God often expects us to move first, and then the waters part.
What If You’re Missing the Answer?
I recently watched a movie by Pastor Laju Iren, a beautiful film centered around being single and praying for a spouse – titled ‘Last to Marry’ It highlighted a common struggle—focusing so much on one prayer request that we miss out on everything else God is doing. In the end, she learned that her dreams can be achieved while single, instead of waiting to have a spouse by her side to achieve them. You have to discover the purpose in your ‘waiting period’
• Could it be that the job you’ve been praying for is already within reach, but fear is keeping you from applying?
• Could it be that the relationship you desire isn’t delayed, but God is working on you first?
• Could it be that the business idea in your heart is the very answer to your financial breakthrough, but you’re waiting for an angelic visitation before you start?
When Ruth lost her husband, she could have stayed in Moab, waiting for God to do something. But she moved. She followed Naomi to Bethlehem, and in doing so, she walked right into God’s plan—including meeting Boaz. (Ruth 1:16).
Paul didn’t sit around waiting for a divine schedule before preaching the gospel. He moved. And as he went, God guided him. (Acts 16:6-10).
Faith Requires Action
Many times, we assume that waiting means being passive. But faith is active. James 2:26 says, “Faith without works is dead.”
Praying for something is great. But after praying:
• Have you taken any action?
• Have you sought wise counsel?
• Have you checked scripture for guidance?
• Have you explored the options available to you?
Waiting on God is not an excuse to do nothing.
You Are Not Stuck
God is always speaking. But sometimes, we expect a thunderous voice when He’s already speaking through a gentle whisper (1 Kings 19:12). Other times, His answer isn’t a loud yes or no—it’s wisdom, peace, and open doors.
So, before you say you’re waiting—ask yourself:
• Am I truly waiting, or have I ignored the answer?
• Am I delaying obedience in the name of waiting?
• Is it possible that God has already spoken, and I need to move?
The truth is, God is not silent—but are you listening?
It’s time to occupy till He comes. Move in faith. Take that step. Trust that as you go, He will guide you. Find your purpose in every season and put yourself to work.
If this resonates with you, do leave us a comment, and feel free to share your own story. I will be glad to hear from you.
