Annie’s Divine Encounter: Part 1 – an unlikely calling and mission

Heaven: Annie laid perfectly still. She could feel the sun on her face, and for a moment in her head, she was a bit confused; there’s no sunshine that strong in the hospital room. But then something else was different too; the air, the smell of cleanliness, the peace, the way it made her feel, there was nothing quite like it, she could smell different fragrances quite unlike any she has ever felt. With her eyes still closed, she could tell the aura was entirely Divine. She tried to take it all in. For a second she thought she was getting better at using her imagination

– see here’s the thing, Annie has been in the hospital for the last couple of months. She was in the last stages of her life, as the doctors had told her family, now all they could do was give her something for the pain and wait for that time to come. her illness was terminal, and she was going to die. So the doctors had said.–

“Annie”, she heard the most gentle voice call, bringing her back to the beautiful place. She gently opened her eyes and saw the most beautiful person she’s ever seen.
“Sit up” he said. She responded “I can’t, its too painful”
He just smiled and reached out to her, raising her gently. With her teeth clenched, she tried to lift up her upper body, in a flash as she realized there was absolutely no pain, Annie shot up.

What is happening?
That was when she realized she wasn’t even in the hospital room. She was on a beautiful plain, and suddenly she knew. Her spirit knew.
“Jesus?” She asked.

He gave her the most beautiful smile ever, a smile that made her heart sing and soar.
Ohhhhh, does this mean the day finally came? Is she dead? Is she in heaven? But how? She had renounced the Lord Jesus. She couldn’t have made it to heaven, could she?

Instead, he smiled and said
“Walk with me, my dear child”
With the LORD Jesus holding her hands, they began to walk.
He began to speak, and she reveled in his voice.
“Annie” he said “you are not here to stay, you will go back, because I have a special request to make of you; you’re going back to tell others about me, and get them prepared for my return. There are people like you all over the earth now, and there are angels there too, to help your work. You need to tell them about your life and your faith, show them my Word, and get them to accept, and believe in me, get them prepared”

With tears running down her cheeks, Annie hugged the LORD Jesus. He hugged her back. It was such love as she had never felt. It was love that filled her entire being. LOVE that filled her with light, it was LOVE that she could reach and touch and LOVE that made her feel light and free. She cried because she couldn’t believe God would choose her, a rebellious youth whose faith in him diminished as the sickness overtook her body.
In her family, it was only her mother who refused to give up. Her father had long stopped going to church, and together, she and her father blamed the Lord for her condition.
And now she has to go back and preach this LOVE?

How was that possible? Why did the LORD choose her? How did she even qualify? She who rejected him. And stopped praying. How was this even possible.

How apt!
“Thank you” she said, “For loving me in my state of rebellion, for not giving up on me, for staying with me, and for giving me the opportunity to preach you”

“Go my child. There are people waiting to hear the Gospel from you”
