Illuminate your world
Coming from the most beautiful time of year (Christmas) and now into the New Year, a lot of us are filled with high hopes for what the year should be like.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But do you know there are also many out there who live life as is without hope, dreams, or any sort of expectations? For them, the light has gone out of their lives.
It could be the circumstances of birth, it could be due to loss (loved one, business), it could be due to betrayal or any other form of devastation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Let\u2019s talk about the reason for Christmas for a second. Christmas for us as Christians and people of God is a reminder of when God set in motion the greatest love story of all time \u2013 the birth of our LORD Jesus set us on the path of ultimate reconciliation with God our Father.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And now that we have arrived in 2024, I would like to share this with us.
There are so many who are yet to understand the love of God. Many who do not understand the true depth of the love of God. There are many who have never come into contact with anyone who can share with them this true gospel of our LORD Jesus Christ.
Its our job as Christians to let them know this. It\u2019s our job to illuminate our world by sharing this message of love with others.
The world is filled with so many broken people who are looking for someone to love them, to encourage them, to tell them it\u2019s going to be alright and that they are loved.
These new year, let\u2019s make up our minds to be carriers of this light.
It doesn\u2019t have to be grand, because waiting till we can make significant statements is grounds for an excuse.
It can be in the way you live and interact with others.
It can be in little acts of kindness to strangers and people known to you.
It can be in praying specific prayers for specific people.
And it can be in sharing God\u2019s Word with them.
The time is now. Take little steps to share this light.
And it can be in putting yourself to use in God\u2019s House. Don\u2019t wait to be invited.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
You\u2019re a LIGHT placed in that place to shine brightly so others can receive and glow too. Remember Jesus said in \u202d\u202dMatthew\u202c \u202d5:14\u202d-\u202c16\u202c \u202dNIV\u202c\u202c \u201cYou are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
