Don\u2019t waste your salt

\u2018Ye are the salt of the earth\u2019<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n What does this mean to you? What then does this mean for us as children of God? You see, as a child of God, our lives, our actions and all that we do is to be geared towards winning souls. And we are not only to win them, we have to help them grow and also discover their place in Christ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This also includes contact with strangers. After encountering you, how do people leave feeling? Uplifted or downcast? Are you helping them by being \u2018salt that unlocks their own potential, or do you make them shrink?\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n We wouldn\u2019t be told we are \u2018the salt of the earth\u2018 if we didn\u2019t have it in us to be so. Matthew 5:13 As children of God, we are compared to salt, meant to enhance and bring out the unique flavors of others. We are called to not only preserve but also to help others find their place in Christ. Our interactions should uplift and unlock others’ potential. Often, when we add salt to food, we believe it enhances the taste of the food.
But according to research, it does more than this. The salt added helps to break down the \u2018covering\u2019 of the vegetables and other condiments in the food, thus helping them to release their unique flavor, which, together, makes the food taste great.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
You\u2019re not only to preserve, but you are to help others come into their place in Christ and release their unique flavor to bless the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Are you playing your part, or are you wasting the potential?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
