They do. Is there such a thing as little sin and big sin? Read on…

Hi there, your majesties,
It’s your favorite writer here. Thank you for sticking with me on A Thousand Words.
Living life as a child of God and living according to His rules ought not to be hard for us. I say this because when we love someone, we would want to make them happy, so when we say we love God, we should be able to live the way he wants us to live. But sometimes we see situations, people, or actions that fall outside of these rules, but we tell ourselves that it doesn’t matter.

Today, I would like to share something with you, and it’s basically situations that we often find ourselves in and sometimes deliberately walk into, thinking it’s of no significance.
I’m talking about deliberately walking into sin or sinful situations.

Let me tell you a story:
A couple of weeks ago I went to work as usual. When I got there, I packed my stuff out of the car to go to my office, in the course of this I placed my bottle of juice in my bag, now I had a lot of stuff that day which meant there was a lot to balance. When I placed the cup, the Holy Spirit prompted me that I hadn’t positioned it properly, but I ignored it and said to myself it’s just a short distance to my office and nothing was going to happen.
Just about a minute into my walk to the office, the bottle fell out of my bag and shattered. I felt so terrible. Because first of all, I had just broken a bottle I got just a few days ago and really liked, two, I had lost my breakfast, and three, now I had to stop and clean up so someone doesn’t step on broken glass and I was going to spend time on that. And worse, I had disobeyed the Holy Spirit.
While reflecting on the incident, this was what the Holy Spirit said;

When we live life ignoring Him, we bring upon ourselves unpleasant situations that we could have avoided.
We complicate our lives and make things difficult for ourselves
There are so many lessons that I picked from these incident.
1. We sometimes walk deliberately into situations that we should have avoided. E.g. as a young girl, you know visiting that young man where both of you will probably end up alone is a bad idea, but you still went ahead. And then it results in something terrible.
2. We ignore simple instructions thinking it’s just a small thing, but any form of sin is still a sin. So long as it’s contrary to what God says, we should avoid it. Coloring outside the lines isn’t permissible.
3. Our actions often have ripple effects: in this case, I lost the bottle, my breakfast, and have to spend precious time cleaning up. Worse, some of these ripple effects can not be reversed.
In essence, what I am sharing with us here is this: first, learn to obey the Holy Spirit, especially when you think that the issue is too small. The Bible tells us in Matthew 10:30 KJV [30] “But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.”
This means that God is concerned about every aspect of our lives. Learn to listen to him concerning everything.
Secondly, avoid anything and everything that is contrary to His Word. If you’re confused about it, avoid it, and pray about it. God is not the author of confusion. He won’t give mixed instructions.

So l conclude with this: practice hearing the voice of the Holy Spirit so you can always stay on top of things.

Remain blessed, beautiful and winning.
And remember God loves you totally.

We ignore simple instructions thinking it’s just a small thing, but any form of sin is still a sin.
