Books filled with explicit content, like 50 Shades of Grey, distort God\u2019s design for love and purity. Even fantasy books with occultic themes can desensitize us to witchcraft (Deuteronomy 18:10-12).
Instead, Philippians 4:8 gives us a better filter: \u201cWhatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure\u2026 think about such things.\u201d<\/strong><\/mark><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

When someone brings negativity, imagine slamming a spiritual door in their face and saying, \u201cAccess denied!\u201d Protect your peace.

Scrolling through Instagram, TikTok, or Twitter, it\u2019s easy to be influenced without realizing it. Trends normalize things God calls sin. From explicit content to toxic \u201crelationship advice,\u201d social media is full of subtle deceptions. Jesus said in Matthew 6:22, \u201cThe eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are healthy, your whole body will be full of light.\u201d<\/mark><\/strong><\/em>
Ask yourself:
Does this content draw me closer to God or further away?
Would I watch this if Jesus were sitting beside me?
If not, access denied!
4. Negative Friendships: Not Everyone Deserves a Key<\/strong>
You don\u2019t have to be friends with everyone. Some people drain you spiritually, pushing you into compromise. Proverbs 13:20 warns, \u201cWalk with the wise and become wise, for a companion of fools suffers harm.\u201d
Jesus loved everyone, but He didn\u2019t give everyone equal access. He had the crowd, the 12 disciples, and then His inner circle (Peter, James, and John). Learn from Him\u2014love people, but be selective about who speaks into your life.
Setting Up Spiritual Boundaries<\/strong>
Filter your content: Choose movies, books, and music that align with God\u2019s truth.
Avoid toxic conversations: If it\u2019s gossip, slander, or negativity, walk away.
Monitor your social media intake: Follow pages that feed your spirit, not your flesh.
Surround yourself with godly influences: Friendships should help, not hinder, your faith.

Eve made the mistake of allowing the enemy into her mind. You don\u2019t have to do the same. Just because the world accepts something doesn\u2019t mean you should. Proverbs 4:23 reminds us, \u201cAbove all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.\u201d<\/mark><\/em><\/strong>
