God loves me, and he will never abandon me!”

She stared at her Bible in her hands.
Yes, indeed, she has been praying and fasting for the last 8 days. She was at a critical junction in her life, and she needed to make a decision. She didn’t want to rely on her own, but as always, she wanted to hear from God. She had spoken to her ‘husband’ to ask his opinion, and he also said they should pray. Technically, they are married since they have completed their traditional marraige rites. Both of them believed in God and served Him wholeheartedly. They had their traditional marriage last weekend. And they were getting ready for the white wedding which was to take place in 3 months.

This is the dilemma she found herself in; her mom’s sister, who lived abroad most of her adult life, having traveled when she was 20 years old, just returned and wanted to take Adwoa back with her. It wasn’t news. That had been the plan since Adwoa finished Junior High school. But her aunt never returned. Every time it looked like she was about to go, something happened, and it got canceled. Issues like her aunt losing her husband, unrest in the city she lived in, causing her to change states among others. It felt as though Adwoa was moving forward but also marking time because every decision was impacted by her aunt’s promise. Until she met Joe in her 2nd year in the university. Joe introduced Christ to her in a way she was never taught before. She got born again, and she became a part of the campus fellowship. She learned that she had a purpose to fulfill, and her actions and decisions had to be in alignment with God’s will for her. Her life changed. She was no longer moving through the years in a crouching position. Now, she soared past limits. Until her aunt returned and announced it was time to go.

Adwoa had a job. It wasn’t the ultimate, but it paid the bills, and she was happy. She just concluded the first in a 2 part marraige step. but then, this was leaving the shores of Ghana for a better environment. This was to many a – once – in – a – lifetime – opportunity. But was that God’s plan?

That’s why she had been praying.
But the silence was deafening.
“Or does He consider this issue too small for Him to be involved with?”

But the scripture dropped into her spirit – Psalms 8:4 “What is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him”
“Maybe you offended Him.” That voice spoke again.
Adwoa knew then she was missing something.

First, she needed to rebuke and cast out the distraction from the devil.
He was trying his best to plant doubts in her mind, and that would just not suffice.

Adwoa rose from her sitting position and began to declare. As she spoke, the atmosphere began to shift. She worshipped and praised for a long time.

When Adwoa finally stepped out of her prayer closet, she was at peace. She had her answer and even had answers for what she had to do next.
